Rock releases

Rock is a genre of music born lately 1940s / early 1950s in the United States of America from the fusion of rhythm 'n blues and country. Originally called 'Rock and roll', this genre is traditionnaly centered on the amplified electric guitar (coupled with bass and drums instruments) and simple rhythmics and songs constructions.

Some artists as Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly have contributed to develop Rock music in its first years of life. 

After a decade of success (called golden age), "primitive" rock begun to disappear, and some subgenres have saw the day, like hard rock (1960s), punk rock (1970s) and alternative rock (1980s).

Short stories : 
- The song Rock Around the Clock (Bill Haley and His Comets, 1955) is usually quoted as the first hit of the rock music.
- Back in Black is the best-selling rock album of all time (1980, 50 billions). The AC/DC's release is the second best selling of the music story just between Thriller (Michael Jackson, 1982, 65 billions)
